Madras Photo Bloggers in association with Kit Karma held a workshop on Sunday, 15th April,2018. The workshop, aptly titled “Looking beyond equipments” was lead by Mr.P.V.Subramanian, Founder of Kit Karma.
The workshop was guided by Mr.Srivatsan Sankaran, an avid travel photographer, and Mr.Karthik Rajagopal, documentary and wedding photographer.
It was a rare treat for the participants to actually sit and discuss with their peer photographers as well along with the professional giants about the nuances of what goes behind the process of Photo Making and how it is beyond just the equipments. By the end of the day, the participants learnt how to shift their focus from the technicalities and the equipments to the actual composition and the aspects of photo making, and how they can differentiate themselves from their peers to stand unique.
The workshop was designed in a way that the participants open their minds up about the art of photography and the processes, rather than just get overwhelmed with equipment and the technicalities of it. During the discussions the response was very positive as everyone opened up about why they want to do photography, and what is it that makes them take a camera and go make a photo, and to reassess their priorities when it comes to photography.
The response was overwhelming and the event was a goodsuccess . Madras Photo bloggers sincerely thank all the participants for the support. We, Madras photo bloggers would like to thank P V Subramanian , founder of Kit Karma for the wonderful workshop.
